Michael Byrne Manufacturing’s Model 60-1.2 Extreme Duty Horizontal Boring Machine completes a 580 foot bore of 48” auger through tough conditions at O’Hare airport in Chicago Illinois. The Michael Byrne Machine was rented to complete the job when a competitors’ 60” machine could not turn the auger 350 feet into the bore.
	Michael Byrne Mfg was able to repair four Italian gearboxes, re-engineer a totally new gearbox design and produce four triple stage planetary gearboxes between July 3, 2009 and September 7, 2009, quite a feat! Read the whole story
